Some say plant world is different, beautiful. What do you think?

Hello Everybody,
I went to Plant World to buy sod for my backyard. I needed 22 rolls all together, because my car is small I had to make two trips. I went on the first day-around one month ago and I paid for 11 rolls, I noticed when the guys were loading them to my car that they were kind of yellow and wet. I mentioned it to them and was told they they needed a good sprinkle to wash the dirt off and they would be fine. Next day I had to come back to buy another 11 rolls -to match the type of grass -and the sod was super green, fresh and absolutely different from my day before purchase. Again I expressed my concern about my previous purchase to the stuff just to hear what I had heard a day before.
One month later after giving my whole yard exactly the same amount of water, half of my loan is green the second half is dead-you can guess which one and why. I called the manager and told her the whole story, I was not going to take it back or ask for refund I wanted her to know what had happened and just to tell her that they cannot sell old cooked sod to customer and fool them into thinking that it would be repairable. She told me it was my responsibility to refuse to buy it!!! I had a choice to buy it or leave it. It is like selling stale bread in a store with a final sale card stuck on top of it and if you were naive enough to buy it ...well it is your loss. And this is great if this is on sale or the stuff is honest about this. I suggested that maybe not selling old cooked sod should be the answer???
In other words Plant World does not guarantee the freshness of their sod, I wonder if the same policy apply to their plants as well. Well, lesson learned and I would pass this one around, you would expect more care, better customer service and honesty in a place which specializes in plants only. Driving back home I passed Home Depot with a beautiful green sod in the front of the store....
